The Ectomorphs

The second type of metabolism is ectomorphs. Ectomorphs differ from endomorphs in that ectomorphs tend to be very thin and have very fast metabolisms.

If you are this type, you can get by with consuming lots and lots of healthy carbohydrates. Also, you are likely to be envied by many of your friends and family! While you can eat virtually whatever you want, you should still be sure to avoid junk food and unhealthy fats.

The Mesomorphs

If your metabolism type is mesomorph, then you will gain and lose weight quickly. Dieting can be especially tricky for mesomorphs due to their easy weight fluctuations. By nature, mesomorphs tend to be very athletic.

If you fall into this category type, you should refrain from using it as an excuse to eat “whatever you like” and put on extra weight. Being a mesomorph doesn’t mean you can opt for unhealthy food choices. In short, you should still aim for the best nutrition possible.

No matter what your type may be, a healthy diet is key. Knowing your type will help you best tackle your weight loss issues, so that you can watch the pounds drop!
